A two-part event that aims to highlight investments made in women-led companies and encourage more women to invest.
The event will start with a fireside chat between Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Christine Fraser, Dell Chief Responsibility Officer, to discuss initiatives and proposals in the public and private sector being implemented in the city of Boston to support women entrepreneurs. The second part will be an interactive session. Six women entrepreneurs will present their business ideas or product proposals to a judge panel made up of three women venture capitalists. The judges and the audience will offer their thoughts to each of the entrepreneurs, and the judges will then pick a winner, who will win an hour-long meeting with the VCs to discuss her pitch and possible opportunities for implementing the proposal.
Understanding that women still struggle to access capital, networks and resources they need to scale, this event will be the perfect opportunity for women entrepreneurs to learn about other investment opportunities and encourage collaboration in Massachusetts.
